Bobbie Siesennop has spent 30 years volunteering with Circle of Concern. As a pantry desk worker, she radiates kindness and joy toward every client she meets. She is dedicated to Circle’s core mission to feed families; however her passion for our Birthday Club — is evident to all who know her. Moved by the reality that many of the families we serve cannot afford gifts for their children, she helped to launch the Birthday Club program in 1999. This program serves our clients’ children, ages 11 and under with personalized birthday packages filled with toys, books and party supplies. With input from their parents, Bobbie carefully selects the gifts to match each child’s preferences. For families facing difficult circumstances, a child’s birthday can provide a moment of happiness. Bobbie helps to create that moment, offering children and their families a sense of normalcy and a cause for celebration.

Bobbie has hand-selected, wrapped and distributed presents for over 10,000 birthdays!

In recognition of this incredible milestone, and Bobbie’s dedication to Circle’s mission, we’re excited to announce our birthday program’s new name – Bobbie’s Birthday Club!
