When families struggle to make ends meet, children often suffer. We provide an array of children’s programs, offering opportunities and “extras” like summer camps, gifts, schools supplies and more!

Summer Opportunities
The cost of summer camp and similar enriching activities is often out of reach for families who are struggling to pay for basic needs like groceries and utility bills. So often, our clients’ children miss out on the fun of extracurricular activities that can help them to grow and thrive. We aim to change that by offering scholarships to music and sports camps, swim lessons, STEM opportunities and more through our Summer Opportunities program.
You can offer a child some special memories, new friends and newfound skills by clicking here to donate to the Summer Opportunities Program. Be sure to write “Summer Opportunities” or “Camp” in the tribute name section. Or please mail your check to:

Back-To-School
Children who start the school year with adequate school supplies are children ready to learn with confidence. Our annual Back-To-School initiative equips our clients’ children with fresh, new supplies.
To provide our client families with the best opportunity to choose exactly what each child – ages five to 18 – needs, Circle provides a $50 retail gift card for each child. Our client families report that gift cards allow them to select exactly what their children need for school.
Many thanks to our generous donors who support the purchase of gift cards for approximately 500 children each year.
Birthday Club
Circle of Concern spreads birthday joy for client families with children, ages one to 11. Each child receives personally-selected gifts, along with a birthday bag containing a cake mix, icing and party supplies.
Student Snacks
Our clients’ children often qualify for free or reduced breakfast and/or lunch programs during the school year. During the summer, however, children miss out on these programs, and may go hungry. To ensure our clients’ kids have enough to eat, Circle helps with “Student Snacks” gift cards, allowing parents to purchase kid-friendly foods at a nearby grocery store.
Similarly, we offer weekend bags to the Valley Park school district for students whose families may need extra support. The bags offer families a supply of groceries for weekends and during school breaks, and include wholesome, easy-to-prepare foods, kid-friendly meals and fresh fruits and vegetables.
