45,000 pounds collected!
On Saturday, May 10, our community came together for the National Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Thanks to the generosity of our neighbors in Ballwin and Valley Park, Circle of Concern received 45,000 pounds of food and personal care items to help support local families in need.
While the donations were extraordinary, what truly made the day special were the volunteers who made it all happen. We had volunteers of numerous ages join us at the Ballwin Post Office and Circle Warehouse throughout the day, taking on the heavy lifting. They sorted donations, packed boxes, delivered items, and kept the process running smoothly from start to finish. In the weeks leading up to the event, families, individuals, and community groups helped prepare 50,000 collection bags to make the distribution process easy on our letter carriers.
We’d like to give a special shoutout to Living Word Congregation, and to Scott Reichter, whose leadership and logistical support were essential throughout the day. We also must extend our thanks to the Ballwin and Valley Park postal teams, who collected and delivered thousands of donations.
Because of all of you, families across our region will receive the food and essentials they need in the months ahead. Your willingness to give your time, energy, and resources makes a meaningful difference and we are so thankful for your continued support.
